Let’s Talk About Money

Running your own business and don’t like talking about money? This fully funded, training programme is for you!

When I launched my first business, I didn’t pay myself for one year.

10 years later, when I read that back to myself, it seems absolutely ludicrous but it’s a fact. I took another part-time job rather than take money out of the company choosing to pay the people around me, rather than me. *Sigh*

But it’s not uncommon. In fact, our fear of money is very common in the solo and micro-business world. And it needs to change or how will we all make our businesses the success we want them to be?

In partnership with the North East Small Loans FundDigital Sparkles is running a series of 12-hour training opportunities to talk about the BIG M and provide practical hints, tips and practical tracking sheets for us all to get to grips with the basics of money in our businesses.

  • We’ll talk:
  • Pricing and paying ourselves
  • Personal targets and aspirations
  • The real costs of our business activities
  • Money in and money out
  • Cash flow
  • Forecasting
  • Self-employment vs running a business
  • Business Planning
  • Confidence
